Now in its 11th year, the Editions and Artist’s Book Fair has grown in size and stature to become the premier showcase for contemporary publishers and dealers presenting prints, multiples, and artists’ books. Founded in 1998 by Susan Inglett of I.C. Editions and Brooke Alexander, the fair will take place at The Tunnel, the historic New York hotspot that spans 11th Avenue and the West Side Highway, from October 31–November 2, 2008. The venue will generously accommodate over sixty exhibitors and works by artists from cities including New York, Los Angeles, Johannesburg, Amsterdam, London, and Paris.
The E/AB Opening Night Gala takes place on Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 5 to 8pm. Proceeds will support P. S.1 Contemporary Art Center’s exhibitions and programs. The evening’s festivities will feature a special DJ set by Lovett/Codagnone and music by AJ Slim.
This year’s E/AB Benefit Host Committee brings together a wide variety of artists and patrons: Terry Adkins, Sarah Basile, Robert Boyd, Phong Bui, Nicole Cherubini, William Cordova, Eyal Danieli, Dana Farouki & Mazen Makarem, Lia Gangitano, Jaime Johnson, Michael Joo, Lovett/Codagnone, Carrie Moyer, Primary Information, Ernesto Pujol, Børre Sæthre, Franklin Sirmans, Neville Wakefield, Saman Westberg, Arden Wohl.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.ps1.org through Ticketweb, in person at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, and at the door the night of the event. Each ticket is tax deductible in the amount of $30.
