of 120 animated gif images, each of which repeatedly loops two different corporate logos
for 15 seconds. The logos have been copied from the companies’ websites, and the
sequence has been realized with JavaScript and PHP. The work is free of copyright and may
be reproduced, distributed and modified without any legal restrictions. The Coils of
the Serpent is neither exactly affirmative not critical. Rather than a statement, it
is an attempt to "grasp the rough outlines of the coming forms" of the societies
of control – the integrated spectacle of "global" ethics and
"corporate" aesthetics. |
