        animated work in the traditional sense. <i>SiSSYFiGHT 2000</i> is a game. Unlike
        pre-generated media like film and video, games exist as sets of rules &#150; as procedures
        that are set into motion by the participation of the players as they play the game. In the
        case of <i>SiSSYFiGHT</i>, this act of play occurs on many levels: social interaction,
        strategic decision-making, narrative role-playing, and perverse critique of many of the
        conventions of computer gaming. </font><p><font face="Arial" size="2" color="#FFFFFF">As
        players interact with the structures of <i>SiSSYFiGHT</i> and play the game, they are in a
        sense algorithmically generating an improvisational animation. The drama that occurs in a
        game of <i>SiSSYFiGHT</i> is an emergent property of the experience, an effect of the
        process of play, rather than something which was pre-coded by the designers of the game. </font></p>
        <p><font face="Arial" size="2" color="#FFFFFF">Thus the complex operation of desire and
        drug-like addiction in <i>SiSSYFiGHT</i>. The top <i>SiSSYFiGHT</i> players have played
