    <p align="left"><font face="Arial" size="2">Howard Shore has composed the scores for over
    50 films including <em>The Silence of the Lambs</em> and <em>Philadelphia</em>, dir.
    Jonathan Demme, <em>Ed Wood</em>, dir Tim Burton, <em>After Hours</em>, dir Martin
    Scorcese and <em>Seven and the Game</em>, dir. David Fincher. <br>
    <br>
    Shore's long standing collaboration with David Cronenberg has produced the scores to <em>The
    Brood</em> (1979), <em>Scanners</em> (1980), <em>Videodrome</em> (1983), <em>The Fly</em>
    (1986), <em>Dead Ringers</em> (1988), <em>Naked Lunch</em> (1990), <em>M. Butterfly</em>
    (1993), <em>Crash</em> (1996) and <em>eXistenZ</em> (1999).<br>
    <br>
    Howard Shore was formally educated at the Berklee School of Music in Boston. He recorded
    with the group &quot;Lighthouse&quot; from 1969-1972. As one of the original creators of
    Saturday Night Life, Howard Shore served as Musical Director from 1975-1980.<br>
    <br>
    He has been honored with a Los Angeles Film Critics Award, a Grammy Award nomination, and
    a BAFTA Award nomination in Great Britain. Shore has also received a Gotham Award in New
    York, the Saturn Award for Science Fiction and a Genie Award in Canada.</font></p>
    <p align="left"><font face="Arial" size="2">In November 1996, Mr. Shore was honored at the
    Seville Film Music Festival where he conducted the Seville Symphony Orchestra in a live
    performance of his music. In January 1998, he conducted a performance of Crash at the
    National Arts Center in Ottawa. In Melbourne, Australia, Mr. Shore conducted a performance
    of Crash at Cinesonic's 1st International Conference on Film Scores and Sound Design. In
    May 2000, Mr. Shore was honored during a week long retrospective of his work presented by
    the University of Ghent in Belgium.<br>

    In addition to his film score work, Mr. Shore's chamber music has recently been featured
    on Arabesque Record's April 2000 release &quot;Real Music: The Secret Lives of Film
    Composers&quot;.<br>
    <br>
    Howard Shore's most recent film scores include David Cronenberg's futuristic thriller <em>eXistenZ</em>,
    (his ninth collaboration with Cronenberg) and Dogma from writer-director Kevin Smith. His
    upcoming films include<em> The Yards</em>, from director James Gray, and the French
    production, <em>Esther Kahn</em>, directed by Arnaud Desplechin. </font></td>
