EXHIBITION PRESS RELEASE
Uniform : Order and Disorder May 20, 2001 - September 2001
P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center presents Uniform: Order and Disorder, a multidisciplinary exhibition opening May 20, 2001 that showcases various expressions of the uniform through art, fashion, cinema, photo-journalism and pop culture.
Curated by Francesco Bonami, Maria Luisa Frisa and Stefano Tonchi, Uniform: Order and Disorder looks at how technical and formal military wear influences contemporary fashion and is metabolized in pop culture and is critically used in art.
